Busy Sunday!
Surprise! Here I am again. And there’s only a little more than two months between posts this time, so I’m getting a little faster. π
I’ve been stitching regularly and have finished off a number of small projects recently, including these two:

Designer: Prairie Schooler
Pattern: Designer Series: Forget-Me-Nots

Designer: La-D-Da
Pattern: Letters & Leaves (freebie)
After finishing these two and two others (gifts I can’t show) rather quickly, I became curious about just how many pieces I had in my unfinished finishes boxes (yes, plural). You can see some of those in this picture and read about them here and here:
Turns out I have more than 50 pieces that are rolled up or stored, not forgotten exactly but certainly not ready for display either, so I decided to start chipping away at the pile. I managed to frame these today:

Designer: Drawn Thread
Pattern: 12 Houses

Designer: Sheepish Designs
Pattern: Those Bloomin’ Flowers

Designer: Hands To Work
Pattern: Patience 1898

Designer: Birds of a Feather
Pattern: Alphabet Sampler
Whew! I’m glad to have those finished, and it’s given me some motivation to finish even more. Only 46+ to go!
Now back to stitching. I think I’ve earned it, and besides, I have more room in those storage boxes now.
P.S. I’ve gathered together some patterns for sale and hope to update my sale blog soon. Stay tuned!

Fantastic new finishes and framing! I have yet to try my hand at framing but you seem to be a pro at it! Nicely done! Now we need to see them hanging up…sampler wall perhaps? π
Lovely finishes, and congrats on all that framing! Watching for the sale pages, too.
Wow, your finishes and framing are amazing! Love it all. I bought a candle screen a few months ago and haven’t decided what to frame in it. I thought I was the lone soul interested in candle screens. π I love all of the frames you chose. Very nice! And all of those rolled up finishes…you are brave to count them. Looks like a lot of treasure, can’t wait to see!
Doesn’t it feel good to have some finishes done?! I am guilty of stockpiling finishes as well. But, it’s hard to admire them tucked away in a box or drawer isn’t it? sigh*
I’ve realized that I like to stitch just for the stitching, which seems kind of wasteful … but once the project is finished, I kind of lose interest in finishing it off or framing it. Part of the problem is there’s no one around here who can frame textiles decently – I can do the smaller pieces, but the big ones daunt me. And my smalls-finishing skills are in the wastebin, LOL. But the stitching itself gives so much contentment that I don’t really mind. Maybe my kids will someday be interested in finishing the projects off … or maybe I’ll get my own shelf at Goodwill, LOL.
Wow, I love your stitching – as always! π And how funny that we’ve both done Letters & Leaves recently. π
I am so glad I’m not the only one who had a finished unfinished stitching bin! Yours looks so much prettier than mine with the pieces all rolled up like that!
Wonderful new finishes too!
